The Texecom Elite range of alarm panels is a popular panel with alarm installers and integrators alike. When combined with Texecom's Connect interface, the panel can be managed via the cloud and also opens the door to IP feedback and control with a Crestron system.
PLEASE NOTE: The Texecom Connect integration works very well in most environments, and you should make sure your Texecom panel is running the latest firmware (at least v5), however; there is evidence (acknowledged by Texecom) that the communications are prone to missed messages which can reflect in a poor user experience - this is more apparent when using a virtual keypad than in monitoring feedback. We STRONGLY suggest that you test the integration in your environment BEFORE purchasing. Alternatively, consider the more stable serial communications option (see related products).
This module is compatible with all Texecom Elite panels that support the Connect interface, except for the 640. Please contact us if you wish to integrate with a Texecom Premier Elite 640.
We have developed a module that makes integrating the Texecom Premier Elite panels with a Crestron system a simple task of configuring your Texecom Connect, and firing up SIMPL Windows. The module provides:
- A virtual alarm keypad - which can do everything a physical keypad can do.
- Real time view of zone status - whether armed or not, the panel's zones can be monitored to trigger control system functions, or turn off AV when a room is unoccupied.
- Area armed status - the module indicates which areas of the system are armed.
Unlike the older RS232 based control, the new protocol supports full and part arm of areas, and also zone omit, plus a host of additional zone and area states to indicate the current status of the intruder system.
