Bring live weather station data directly into Crestron Home with the Ecowitt Local Tile, a clean and intuitive interface designed to display real-time conditions from an Ecowitt-compatible weather station over the local network.
By configuring the Ecowitt device’s web interface to use the Ecowitt Protocol on a specified port, the Ecowitt Local Tile can receive telemetry directly from the device and present it within the Crestron Home Client.
Whether you're checking the temperature outside, monitoring rainfall, tracking UV levels, or keeping an eye on wind conditions, the Ecowitt Local Tile makes it easy to view detailed local weather data from your touchscreen or mobile app.
Users can access a wide range of live telemetry, including:
- Current Conditions – Outdoor temperature, outdoor humidity, relative pressure, and absolute pressure.
- Wind Data – Wind speed, wind gust, max daily gust, and wind direction.
- Rainfall Data – Rain rate plus hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, and total rainfall.
- Solar and UV – Current UV index and solar radiation readings.
Telemetry is updated at an interval of your choosing, providing a reliable view of real-world conditions measured directly from the installed weather station.
For enhanced automation and awareness, the Ecowitt Local Tile exposes telemetry properties so that logic can be applied however you want. For example, these properties can be used to trigger Notice Messages when selected values change or meet defined conditions.
The Ecowitt Local Tile can also integrate with the Ultamation Notice Tile to provide threshold-based alerts for selected telemetry values. This allows installer-defined notifications to be delivered within Crestron Home and as mobile push notifications when configured, with custom titles, messages, and priority levels.
Please note that the Ultamation Notice Tile is a separate product available from the shop page. If the Ultamation Notice Tile is not installed, notification functionality will not be available.
Designed to sit naturally within the Crestron Home experience, the tile provides a clean and functional way to surface local weather station data without clutter.
The weather station used when developing this driver is the CPC PSG04173.
As with all of our Crestron Home drivers, this can be tested with a Crestron Home system for an hour (following each reboot) so that you can try before you offer this unique solution to your Crestron Home clients.
